My First Elliptigo Wipeout-Fall

I went on a tune up ride for my Century ride and was leaving my apartment. I got to this corner where the ground was wet. All of the sudden, I lost control of my Elliptigo and fell hard on the cement on my right side. I yelled out quite a loud yell as the maintenance staff heard me. I got up and gave them the thumbs up that I was ok. I thought I tore my apparel but was nothing was ripped. I thought I hit my head and banged up my helmet, but the helmet is ok.

Then I went to pick my Elliptigo up to see what damage there was. The drive arm and the bottom area below where the words Elliptigo got a bit scratched. up.

This sure was a lesson for me to be careful when the ground is wet and going around a turn. Best to go very slow.

Garmin Edge 500

I recently got the Gamin Edge 500 for my Elliptigo rides. After using the Garmin Edge 305 for several years, I was finding that the battery life was not going to last for the long distance rides. I spent time researching which model would work for me and I found the 500 Edge would meet all my expectations.  I like the face that I can get 18 hours of battery life, lots of features, quick release and light weight.

Safety On Your Rides

Safety is always important when riding your Elliptigo. Should you have an emergency and you need medical assistance then be sure to download this free app. Ride ID is an ICE (in case of emergency) app for cyclists. It affords peace of mind, by allowing cyclists to conveniently and securely display their emergency contact details and medical information on their device's lock screen.

In the event of an accident, this vital information can be accessed immediately by paramedics, critically saving time and potentially saving lives.

Stay safe. Never ride along. Always ride with RideID.

Banana Saver and Holder for your Elliptigo Rides

Having a banana saver and holder for my Elliptigo rides have been a challenge. I put them in a carrying bag and by the time I want to eat it, the banana is moshed, bruised and not eatable. With the banana saver and holder, I can now count on being able to eat the banana. This is a USA made product as well.

Run Speed One X-Socks

Run Speed One X-Socks are Amazing. I never knew socks can feel so good on my feet. I have been researching X-Bionic and found they have some of the best technology when it comes to clothing. The shirts were out of my budget at the moment, but when I cam across these socks and the reviews, I said that these will work so I ordered them.

I have been riding the Elliptigo since January 2011 and one of the challenges has been my feet getting hot and tingling in my feet. This past Saturday, I did a 63 mile ride and got to try the socks for the first time. My feet felt great on the ride. They stayed cool, dry and no tingling. Then today I did a 27 mile ride and wore one of these socks on one foot and the socks I normally wear on the other feet. The foot with these socks definitely felt cooler and drier then the socks I have been wearing. These socks are a must have for all my future rides. Good new ladies, there is a version for you as well. Don't wait, order these and thank me later.

Recovery Drink

For me, a good recovery drink is important. I have tried many over the years and finally found one that I love! It is called the http://amzn.to/16ioIP6.

Vega sport recovery accelerator is the first all-natural, plant-based recovery drink mix specifically developed to address all six key elements of post-workout recovery, including muscle glycogen replenishment, muscle tissue repair and protein synthesis, hormonal support, soft-tissue repair, immune function, inflammation-reduction and rehydration.

63 Mile Ride 3.9.12

I had a great ride today. It was a cool so it made the ride easier, but it was also a bit windy.

Finishing up my ride. Thumbs up!

Forum

I have created a forum to connect Elliptigo riders with each other along with other helpful tips and information. Please be sure to visit the Forum and register free: http://gocentral.freeforums.org

How I got started with the Elliptigo

I'm SId Scheck and I've been riding the ElliptiGO since January 2011. I first learned about the ElliptiGo on the local news and then went to a local dealer to demo an 8S. I fell in love with the ElliptiGO and knew I needed to purchase one. I was an avid tennis player since I was about 7 years old and had to give it up due to back injuries. I was also a runner through high school. In fact, I ran the 1986 NYC Marathon in 3.5 hours, but also stopped running due to back issues. The ElliptiGO peeked my interest on many levels as I can get an incredible workout and have fun while exercising.

Since purchasing an ElliptiGO, I have exceeded many goals including doing an Official Century ride in March 2013 joining the official Century Club #74: http://lovethego.blogspot.com/search/label/century%20club. What a thrill it was to complete this feat. It far exceed my expectations of a goal to reach.

Over the past 3.5 years of owning an ElliptiGO, I have shared a a lot of valuable tips, products and information to make the ElliptiGO a better experience via video https://www.youtube.com/user/LoveTheGO and Forum: http://gocentral.freeforums.org. I will continue adding information and hope it will be of help to you and your experience of being an ElliptiGO owner. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime you have any questions @ lovethego@gmail.com or call 561-865-6520.
