Round 2 - 1st Ride on my new 11R Replacement

Well it has been 12 days since my last ride as I was sick with some sort of virus. So glad I am feeling about back to normal. This is my first ride with my new 11R replacement as the 1st one had some creaking issues. ElliptiGO was great to work through the replacement process, so kudos to Beth and Sarah at ElliptiGO corporate for helping.  I also want to thank Phil at Palm Beach Bicycles for working with me as well as I purchased my 11R through them and delivered my new replacement to me. 1st class service.

We I got out before the heat kicked in. Along the way I was about to pass a runner who was running on the curb. Just as I was about to pass her, she decided to step off the curb without looking and I came within a few inches of hitting her.  That sure was a close call. It could have been somewhat ugly had I hit her going 18 MPH.

Later in the ride as I got to a red light, a man opened his car window and ask me, "What the heck is that". I smiled and told him it is an ElliptiGO and gave him my card. He thanked me and off he went.

As I went a little further I noticed the ground was very wet. Lucky me, I missed a rain cloud. I did not get wet, but gave my new ElliptiGO got a bath.

All in all a good ride. Sure felt out of shape, but nothing beats a great ElliptiGO ride. I call it a good kick in the butt. 14.5 miles done.

Register Your ElliptiGO With The National Bike Registry

Don’t let it end up at a police auction!

Since 1984, the National Bike Registry (NBR®) has been working with law enforcement to return stolen bikes to their rightful owners. A bike registered with NBR, the only true national database, can be identified by police and returned to you instead of being sold at an auction.

Have Back Issues and Thinking about Getting the ElliptiGO?

Thinking about getting the ElliptiGO, but have back issues. This is what the Dr. wrote about my back in 2010. On January 1, 2011, my life changed thanks to the ElliptiGO. I have far exceeded my expectations of what I could accomplish and has been the greatest form of exercising that has come into my life. It can do the same for you. Just ElliptiGO it!

Good Morning Ride

I was really looking forward to this mornings ride as I got to wear my X-Bionic Effektor shirt for the first time. A fantastic shirt as it offers great compression and kept my body cool. To start out my ride, I stopped off at the post office to drop off a package. The Kaddy Rack was a help with connecting the box to. Then heading to A1A rode up to Delray Beach and back to Boca Raton. I thought I was going to get caught in a rain cloud on the way back, but luckily everything was ok. 32.36 miles done.

Day 1 - ElliptiGO Global Team Challenge Has Begun!

Today's ride had it's highs and lows. Today was my first ride with the Kenda Kwest tires as I have had a lot of issues with my Schwalbe Marathon tires. Well the  the ElliptiGO Global Team Challenge that will occur throughout the month of September is underway. I am on team 1(Red). Throughout the ride, I stopped to pick up screws that were in the bike lane. I must have picked up about 8 screws. Later in the ride,  I came upon a beautiful swan who apparently was hit by a car and killed. I was saddened by what I saw. I picked it up off the road and onto the grass. Someone from the community came to get it to get it out of the way. RIP swan. I completed 20.26 miles.

Cloudy Windy Morning Ride

While it was a very cloudy and windy morning ride, I enjoyed it as it was not nearly as hot as many morning rides can be. I will take the windy rides from time to time rather than the hot heat! 33.23 miles done!

Love riding on A1A

Stopped along the way in Delray Beach to take a look at the Atlantic Ocean. The waves were a bit choppy this morning.

Product Review - X-Bionic The Trick Running Shirt

Product Description

The X-Bionic the Trick Men's Running Shirt allows you to run longer and faster without overheating. With The Trick, the innovative developers at X-BIONIC have found a new and superior way to regulate your temperature. Along an insulation zone on the spine, an overheating of the entire body is simulated tricking the brain into thinking you are warmer than you really are. To combat this, the brain initiates sweat production far earlier in your run. Even before the body overheats, it is cooled by sweat, effectively and more quickly. The strain on physical systems is relieved. RESULT: You have more energy for performance. The Trick Running Shirt is also packed with other award-winning technology from X-BIONIC, such as the 3D-BionicSphere System on the chest and back, which will ensure that during your run, you remain at a constant 37 degrees Celsius.Features: 3D-BionicSphere System in the chest area: Without giving the body the impression that it is getting cold, fresh air from the 3D-BionicSphere System in the chest area cools down the body temperature. The air is tempered inside the ducts, working like a sluice. Hot, moist air is disposed of using the dynamics of body warmth and then replaced with new fresh air. Air ComPlex-Zone: at the solar plexus, directly under the 12th thoracic vertebrae, important nerve fibres receive signals that influence one?s entire well-being. The AirComplex-Zone protects this sensitive area with special channels. Warm air enclosed there insulates optimally in the cold. The system?s structure processes excess sweat from physical activity and ensures appropriate cooling of the core. SweatTraps: Trap perspiration before you start to feel it. Sweat is wicked away so it can evaporate using heat dynamics. A film of perspiration ? too thin to be noticeable ? is left behind to cool the skin. THE TRICK: the latest technological development from X-BIO
