Cardio Day

It was a great cardio day! Did the StairMaster for about 40 minutes and then swam for 30 minutes.

After swimming with gloves for a long time, I started to think about the resistance they offer vs. swimming with paddles. I started doing research  and the reviews from people seemed to lean toward the paddles. So I started reviewing different paddles and gave the Speedo I.M. Tech paddles a go.

I swam for about 45 minutes and boy what a difference it really was swimming with the paddles. Far better resistance. Not only did I feel I had a better workout with my upper body, but with my legs as well. The paddles are very light weight and found them very comfortable as well. When I did take the paddles off after the swim, my finger felt sore for a few minutes, but then I was fine. I am really going to look forward to many great resistance swimming sessions to coming. Time to step up my swimming workout!

Meditation

I had been hearing more and more about meditation, so I thought tonight why don't I give it a try. I turned off the lights, computer monitors, sat on the floor and listened to this video while trying to focus on my breathing for 20 minutes. There were a few occasions that I started thinking of something else, but when I did, I stopped myself and went back to focusing on my breathing. I have to say it is so relaxing. Beautiful Day For A Kangoo Jumps Run

What an incredible day for a Kangoo Jumps run! I ended up doing about 5 miles between walking and mostly running. I am still having issues with my left hip flexor. With continued running and stretching/strengthening exercises, the pain will subside. Regardless, it is one heck of a workout.

It will allow you to get up much easier and potentially eliminate the need to press that snooze button. Once you start falling asleep and waking easier, you will feel better.
